Enter Rome, Italy's capital city. There was a time where this city hosted the most powerful civilization on the planet, completely unrivaled with unparalleled power that stretched for miles and miles. This mighty civilization spawned from a small settlement on the Tiber River in what we now know as central Italy. Legend tells of 2 brothers named Romulus and Remus who built the city together. Romulus killed Remus and founded the city of Rome in his name. Rome's positioning granted it many expansion options, as well as trade routes, which added to it's ease when it came to expansion. Gradually, the city grew and grew, until it was powerful enough to take over neighboring cities, which were governed with care and mercy, another factor that was vital to Roman success, as it made sure riots were less likely. As the empire expanded, the Roman's raised many people who would move on to change the world; among them were Julius Caesar, Raphael Sanzio, Judelio and Nero. Having expanded at such a fast rate, simpletons such as yourself would most likely think the Roman's would have to fight a constant battle to uphold their rule. This was not the case, as the Romans were wise and made sure their people were treated well, and even given the chance to vote advocates that would stand as the voices of the people.
